Why do Warhammer pups look different? So serious, focused and intent?

Well good question. Simple answer.... I breed for intensity, discriminating protective natures and health using the best European and American bloodstock. I breed FARM DOGS, I don't breed show dogs. My dogs don't let strangers open their mouths and look at their teeth, like show dogs do.The feet on my pups are big but not huge because huge paws can't run fast. Look at their faces they are intense because it is true Corso. Look at the grey female's hind quarters, like a baby rhino, but like her mom Hemi Cuda can move and has that alpha drive built in. I breed for height and length of torso because a Corso should trot easily and efficiently and flow across the ground not plod across it. My pups are not for everyone, they aren't couch potato Corso's. I try and emulate the Italian image of Cane Corso (Utilitarian working guardians of unquestioned loyalty and reserved demeanor). Expect to wait for one of my pups. I produce very few, Waits are typically running 1 yr. All my pups are cropped because my kennel name rides with every pup. Expect me to qualify YOU as a prospective owner. I demand good homes for my pups. Good lives for my pups come from good active knowledgeable, devoted owners.

We offer lifetime breeder support, a written general health guarantee at the time of purchase, as well as a 26 month guarantee against Hip and Elbow Displasia. All our pups are professionally cropped and docked, as well as have both front and back dew claws removed as and if presented. All our pups are checked at 6 weeks of age for any health issues and a written Vet signed report accompanies each pup and is specific to them. Pups will always be current on shots and de-worming, have begun potty training and some basic commands. Pups are homed at 8 weeks old, and not before. We are small in size and intend to remain so. Our earnest hope and desire is to in a small way, improve this our favorite dog breed through selective breeding for traits we deem important. In particular health, high prey drive, athleticism, velcro natures, being discriminating and judicious in the use of aggression when and if called for, by their genes, and not formal training. Physical appearance is important also. I value proper heads and proper bites. Long rectangular torso's with good muscle and bone but not overly so as they become less athletic and have less endurance then. So...IMO if you don't know where the breed has been, and you breed Italian Mastiffs how can you know where it should go? Of particular note are the long legs, the head shape, the long torso, the cropped ears, what you cannot see is the stamina these WORKING dogs had, and the healthy bloodstock developed over hundreds of years of selective breeding. 

When I say old world bloodstock meets the 21st Century I mean my breeding program emphasis is on Healthy dogs, Strong protective and prey drives, Long legs and torso's, Stamina, Proper head, Muscular, but can move well. Size is my last addition to the equation. In fact I breed for black color before size. Size put before the other things is a road paved with disappointments and heartache for the client.

LaDonna Luxor "Lux" daughter of Hemi Cuda and AKC CH Destro Res Landes She is long, tall and moves with grace and speed. weight 101.4 at exactly 1 yr old. She is hell on wheels, relentless by nature.

Belladonna on left Daughter of Pepper and Bluesteel Diego, and Luxor on right. Bella weight 96.6 at one yr old. Both are all solid black, both are very protective of my property without coaxing, both live to please their master, both have stamina, are quick , long torso's and tall for females. Bella is the smarter, and a slight bit quicker, Lux has the edge on pure Corso drive. Both are loving and crave their masters attention.
